About the project
Goal and tasks:
Three days of the Opening Weekend (January 15-17 2016) offering almost a hundred cultural events inaugurated the year of the European Capital of Culture in Wrocław. Tens of thousands of people took part in the Awakening - one of the most spectacular processions in the city's history. The challenge that the agency had to rise to consisted in a comprehensive media service for the event. Not only the residents of Wrocław and other Polish cities but also the rest of Europe were supposed to learn about the event.
Our tasks:
- Delivery of media actions reaching domestic and European audiences and promoting the Opening Weekend of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016
- Organisation of comprehensive management of the event's press office
Results:
- 5,000 - a record number of media publications (press, radio, the Internet, TV)
- 600 publications in European media
- advertising equivalent of 25 million PLN
- catering for the needs of 300 journalists [Polish and foreign] taking part in the event
